Don 2 review

Don 2’ is again back with our handsome hero  Shahrukh Khan. The hype surrounding ‘Don 2’ is sky high for the few reasons. The film starts almost from the same point where it ends hence the thrill is mammoth. No doubt Farhan Akhtar has put all the techniques, style and intelligence to make it one of Bollywood’s highly stylish and technically sound films. Farhan tried to make the movie of international standard and to a great extend, he was successful.

Don was a blockbuster of 2006 and five years down the lane Shahrukh Khan appears as vibrant and very tricky Don with ‘Don 2’. Like a lover boy, audience prefers SRK as nice hero. Let’s see whether King Khan has been able to live up to the expectation of the audience once again.

‘Don Ko Pakarna Mushkil Hi Nahi Namumkin Hai’ is the dialogue that can be heard several times in ‘Don 2’ and hence at times it becomes monotonous. The same music was played when Don appears on screen which reminds us of the original. The pre-interval was bit hazy, could not find its way but the post-interval was absorbing and keeps the momentum go.

The story of ‘Don 2’ starts from where it ends, Don (Shahrukh Khan) surrenders himself to cops Malik (Om Puri) and Roma (Priyanka Chopra) and he was taken to Malaysian jail. Don made him caught by the cops for a special mission. Vardhan (Boman Irani) was in Malaysian jail and he wants to union with Vardhan to get the safety deposit box in Switzerland, potted by Singhania (Rajesh Khattar), who was killed in the prequel Don. Vardhan was the only man who can take him to the safety box.

Don makes way for him and Vardhan from the jail to get the plates from the bank. Now, how will Don achieve his task with the help of Sameer Ali (Kunal Kapoor), Jabbar (Nawab Shah) and his darling Lara (Lara Dutta) forms the rest of the story.

Farhan Akhtar has left no stone unturned to make ‘Don 2’ highly watchable and entertaining. He has explored many exotic locations of Berlin and Malaysia and makes the movie a treat for the eyes. He has again showed his direction prowess with brilliant execution.

Speaking about performances, Shahrukh Khan is the heart and soul of Don 2. The film begins moves and ends with him. His style and expression was commendable. Priyanka Chopra as Roma delivered a flawless performance. She looked beautiful. Lara Dutta stepped into the shoes of Isha Koppikar but her role is short. Kunal Kapoor, Om Puri, Boman Irani and others have also delivered good performance.

In the nutshell, ‘Don 2’ is a complete entertainment package. It won’t disappoint the cine-goers and SRK’s ardent fan. If you are Shahrukh’s fan then you will get to taste enough of SRK. The film ends up with the trademark dialogue 'Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi, namumkim hai' promises the return of ‘Don 3'.
